PIB

On Monday morning of our mini vacation, as Natalie called it, we went over to Put In Bay. Sorry Evie, we did not go over on the Jet Express.

Since it was Monday morning, no one was there. So we sat down and enjoyed a snack in the shadow of the Perry Monument.

Here is where Tessa spend most of her day, in the stroller.

This is the main reason we went, Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. This was the last week it would be open for 3 years. They are going to be restoring it so no more pieces will fall off. The monument is the highest open air observation deck in the US.

All Natalie want to do was ride the carousel. It is only 1 of 100 an all wood carousel left in the US. I am sure this is the reason all those people come over to PIB.

You could do about anything at PIB. You could even go on a ride on a boat/car.

We went down to Crystal Cave. It is really not a cave, but a huge geode that you could walk into.

Oliver liked the "trains" on the island. A jeep pulling some trailers. The easiest way to get around the island.

We also went to the butterfly house. Here are some pictures of the butterflies we saw.

There is also a really nice park in downtown. It is between the bay where all the boat dock and all the bars, so I am sure it is an interesting place in the evening. We were there in the morning, so we had nothing to worry about.

We we got back the cottage, we had a picnic outside for dinner. We made pizza pies on the campfire.

Tessa could not make it through dinner and fell asleep sitting up.
