What we've been up to

Oliver is quite creative and intelligent in the manner that an engineer is creative and intelligent. So Saturday morning he had the chip clips out and was sliding them under the fridge.

He was trying to lift it up.

(Hopefully to try and help out by cleaning up the dust bunnies that live under there.)

Every three year-old little boys' dream. Sauder's had a tractor show this weekend. Liechty's had several new tractors available to try out. We even got to sit in combines that are worth more than our house and almost as big (so big they didn't fit in a picture very well).

After Sauder's we ate a quick lunch and headed for the beach.

This was the prize-winning float in our beach parade. Cora insisted on pulling the wagon and Oliver on pushing his dump truck. She actually made it to the beach with Grandpa steadying the inner-tubes. Mom wound up carrying the truck so Oliver could help guide the wagon by steadying the noodles hanging out the back.

They really wanted to take the canoe out on the waves. At one point Cora actually launched Oliver out into the water in the boat which almost capsized before Grandpa could push it back up the beach.

We did let everyone have ride in the canoe. Cora was very upset and confused as to why she couldn't paddle.

Natale and Oliver enjoyed their ride. Everyone also got a ride in the kayak with Uncle Kyle. Good thing he's a strong guy, all that paddling could wear someone out in a hurry.

Tessa didn't think much of the lake and spent her time with Aunt Sarah on the towel where she could be safe from the noisy water.

As if the lake wasn't enough fun, everyone insisted on having a midafternoon water balloon fight. We're not sure who won, but they all had fun.
