Easter this year was a two day extravaganze involving both sets of grandparents and great grandparents, lots of yummy food, and of course way too much candy. Rest assured we did make it to mass and we weren't even the most noisy kids there.
We started our weekend out on Catawba Island. After a brief trip to see the lake we returned to find that the Easter bunny had visited the cottage and left eggs all of the yard and even inside the house.
Oliver with his stash.
Natalie was able to collect quite a few also. Grandpa went out later and managed to find at least three strays hidden in the grass.
Cecelia enjoyed the action from the safety of the high chair.
Tessa shows off her spoils all of which were eaten before we loaded up the van to head West.
Next came the crafty portion of the day. Grandma had four dozen hard boiled eggs for us to decorate.
There was much discussion about the best egg decorating technique.

The evening concluded with even more chocolate and a sugar coma on the way home.
