Nearly every night there is a battle going on in our house between 8 and 9 pm. There are often small voices making comments such as "I need to tell you something" or "My _____ (fill in any random body part) hurts" followed by bellows of "Get back in bed" and threats to hold certain fuzzy bedtime friends hostage, possibly even in very cold places for up to one week if the previous request is not complied with immediately. On one such night a certain little boy was banished from the top of the basement steps and the door was shut. He had previously been banished from the girls room and was refusing to occupy his own personal space for reasons unknown. After enjoying some evening televised entertainment, the big people of the house walked upstairs to find this...
We're not too sure the lovey was very supportive as a pillow, but he was asleep.
Not sure if this would have lasted all night.
The local library offers a story hour for pre-school aged children. They read books and make crafts once a week for an hour. Last week the theme involved rockets and space travel. They made this very fun, but not so functional space mask.
