What we've been up to

We have not been up to much as of late, or at least not much worthy of picture taking.  We  did go camping this weekend at JellyStone Park in Angola, but in the excitement of packing we managed to forget the camera.  It was a little windy, cold, and rainy for our liking, but we opted to rent a cabin instead of setting up the tent.  Definately a good move.  We enjoyed some fun with our friends the Row's and probably managed to gain a few pounds eating pancakes, hotdogs, s'mores and Tom's donuts.  If that weren't enough for one weekend, on the way home we stopped off to visit in Farmer for the Seibert family Easter party.  We had some yummy fish fry and hunted eggs filled with candy.  Then the boys got out the bikes and Kett Cars and raced around the garage dodging hapless family members in search of more dessert.  Needless to say we were all exhausted Sunday night.

This is not the aftermath of the camping trip extravaganza, but another example of Oliver's crazy sleeping positions.  I believe this is one afternoon when he refused to take a nap.

Natalie was to start spring soccer on Monday afternoon.  Because of the lovely weather we've been having soccer has been cancelled this week and will hopefully pick up next Monday.  She had to try on her shin guards just in case.

Last night for dinner we used our leftover steak to create steak fajitas.  Oliver took a little more unconventional method while enjoying his.  The rice and beans side did not go over as well even with lots of melty cheese on top.

Mom has been enjoying her days off this week.  Unfortunately this all will come to an end with a nine day stretch of work.  Dad cleaned bathrooms on Monday afternoon, but managed to not get the tub done.  The tub is the one job around the house that no one ever seems to volunteer for-or at least no one over 4 feet tall.  While Mom managed the tub-possibly for the last time in the next six months and not just because she doesn't like to do it, but more because of the bump, Oliver and Tessa arranged all of the tub toys and then unfolded all of the towels to cover them up.  We're not sure what the total weight of a starfish, octopus, duck, turtle, swan, whale and other assorted fish comes to, but they were at least occupied for a few minutes.  Unfortunately when Mom makes an attempt to clean some area of the house another area usually gets significantly more messy.  There are now approximately 497 Legos, 104 puzzle pieces, and too many to count random pieces of brightly colored plastic things somehow shaped like something someone has to have all over the living room.  Maybe this is why Dad was so eager to go back to work.

Mom also decided that it was a safe bet to pack up the snow pants for the winter.  While doing so she discovered Natalie's carp visor which Tessa and then Oliver had to try on.  The sunglasses were also buried in the closet somewhere.  What an outfit!
