Hodge Podge

The following is a random assortment of pics from the recent weeks.

Who knew...putting together a puzzle is a contact sport.

A couple of weeks ago, Oliver got to go to the fire station with his preschool class.  They even let the kids "drive" the truck.

Three days before Cecelia was born a new little man entered our neighborhood.  His name is Henry and he weighed in at a slight 10 lbs. at birth.  Being the loving parents and neighbors we are, we had to get the two of them together for a quick photo op.  They mostly laid like lumps on the blacket asleep, but when one would move the other moved in the same way.

That same weekend was the last for our beloved Ridgeway Dairy.  We had to stop out for one last time.  Poor Cecelia was not allowed to enjoy dessert directly, but we did bring her along.

On top of one last yummy ice cream treat, the Ridgeway had decorated for halloween complete with a quick straw fort/tunnel.

Again, poor Cecelia had to sit this one out, but the big girls sure enjoyed it.

Oliver took his turn until someone started throwing straw and everyone had to get back in the van.

Last week, Mr. Greg was kind enough to allow a ride-along in his combine.  According to Oliver it was a green combine that was harvesting wheat.  Aunt Jenni, I think he needs a quick ag lesson.  Apparently when harvesting beans however one does harvest a few grass hoppers or crickets also.  He hasn't stopped talking about it.

One afternoon we asked Tessa to take a nap.  She kept coming down in various outfits including several pairs of jammies.  At one point Kevin decied he was tired of helping with wardrobe changes which resulted in this wardrobe malfunction and a brief nap in this most unusual of locales.

Oh and Cecelia's still around her somewhere.

On Saturday Mom and the baby took a nap while the big kids went in search of pumpkins.  They didn't have to go far as the affectionately named strawberry tent now stocks pumpkins.  Even better, the smaller two are pie pumpkins.

This past weekend Cecelia had her first sleep over at the lake.  We're not sure she enjoyed it very much as there were many tears, but we all came back in one piece so it has been considered a successful trip.

Most everyone at our house loves honey crisp apples.  This must be the mailman's baby.

Yesterday Tessa pulled out her stylish boots and grabbed the reigns.  She proclaimed herself a horse rider.
