While we were on vacation, we rented a Jeep and headed north to Corova Beach. Corova Beach is the northernmost beach of the Outer Banks and is only accessible by 4 wheel drive. All of the roads are sand so driving is a little tricky especially the drive up there which is on the beach.

We found this house along the beach. We think it would make a good choice for our next Outer Banks vacation. You could see where the high tide line came up under the house.

This "wild thing" was up in Corova Beach at a construction site. We had to turn around to go see it. It was the highlight of our trip north for Oliver.

We saw two snakes on our trip. Mom might have run over one of them, but we're pretty sure it slithered away after we passed.

We did actually see wild ponies while we were there. Here is one of the better shots.

The adventurers.
Incidentally, our photographer gave Oliver $0.50 for that smile.
