Natalie played Kindergarten spring soccer this year. It rained...a lot. We found the weather for fall soccer was much more conducive to actually playing soccer and spectating. Kindergarten soccer is interesting. It looks something like a small mob chasing each other while kicking often at nothing but thin air. Alternatively part of the team may appear to be stuck in a daydream plucking dandelions. We have decided that Natalie may be better suited at something more social such as cheerleading, but she claims she loves soccer and wants to sign up again in the fall. She has not yet developed any sort of aggressive, competitve edge and instead will often allow other players to get at the ball even if she is closest to it. At one practice this spring she declared she wanted to be neither offense nor defense she just wanted to play.
