Vacation Day 1

A couple of days before vacation Mom was getting some things ready and making sure bathing suits fit.  Tessa tried her one and stuffed some clothes in a backpack and was ready to go.  She was quite upset when we made her take it off for dinner.

Natalie got to sit by Tessa on the plane.  They kept each other occupied for the flight.

Oliver got to sit next to the window and by Mom.  Notice the backhoe out the window.  There were many things to occupy a four year-old boys attention on this trip.

Oliver at the park under the Ravenel bridge.  This is the bridge that Mom ran over a couple of years ago as part of the Cooper River Bridge Run.  It's a big bridge.

The catch of the day.

The girls.  We couldn't convince Oliver to join the picture and actually smile.

A pelican at Shem Creek.  We also saw dolphins jumping in the creek while we ate our dinner.  We weren't fast enough with the camera to capture any.

A not-so-close-up of the USS Yorktown.  We chose not to tour this air craft carrier, but to admire it from afar.  This is the view from under the bridge.

The playground under the bridge had a local theme.  The jungle gyms were shaped like smaller versions of the bridge.  Then there was this shrimp boat to stear and the net to fish in.

Mom's hot date for dinner on Shem Creek.

We spent two nights of our vacation in hotels.  They all slept together and were so tired it really wasn't an issue.  Not sure we'll ever be able to do this again.
