Birthday Girl

It's hard to believe, but Cecelia officially turned one today. 

 

 

We started the day with the traditional birthday waffle.  She enjoyed the whole thing, sans syrup, well mostly the whole thing.  A few stray pieces wound up on the floor with her latest declaration, "Uh-oh".

 

Before everyone else headed off to school she opened her gifts.  She didn't quite understand the conept and tried to crawl off to play, but Mom jumped in to redirect her back to the awaiting excitement.

 

While everyone else was gaining some knowledge Mom and Dad picked up some coffee and headed to Meijer with only one kid.  It was almost like a date especially when the birthday girl took a snooze. 

 

Mom made this somewhat ridiculous, but definately super cut outfit for the birthday girl.  She wore it almost all day until the shirt became soiled at which point she traed it out for the "c" shirt Aunt Becky made and some clean pants.  The tutu however survived the day and even was worn to soccer practice.

 

The birthday hat last about 5 seconds.

 

This hat made it about 30 seconds, but in her defense it was a little warm for such a hat today.
