Tessa's First Day

Tessa has been dreaming and talking about her first day of school since before the big kids started.  She was super ready for this day to come.  She is just as excited for her second day and has even had her backpack ready to go all week.

She woke up excited.

She got dressed and was ready to go, probably before anyone else although Mom missed out as she had to work so she can't say for sure.

Does this face not show how much she really, really wanted to go to school?

Everyone even posed for an impromptu pic.  They were all looking at the camera and even coordinated outfits.  We couldn't do this again if we planned it.

Cheese!

The long walk to school.  Preschool is approximately two blocks from our house after you walk to the appropriate crosswalk and make it across the main street, but our walk generally involves a trip across the park to the elementary school first and then two and a half blocks to the east and across the main street to the pre-school.

This totally captures Tessa.

The school got new cubbies this year and a new teacher.  Tessa was so excited about it all.  After class she commented how Tessa mentioned how excited she was with every new activity they tried.  Hopefully her enthusiasm for school is maintained for the next 14+ years.
