Long Weekend

We spent Labor Day Weekend doing a variety of things and didn't stay still for very long.

We started out on Friday night at Grandma and Grandpa's.  We camped in their driveway and of course had to have s'mores.

Saturday the girls went shopping and found a new, not just new-to-you, First Communion dress for $12.50.  The boys missed all that excitement and went to Auburn for the car show.  This car was covered in pennies.

Oliver being a goof.

6 degrees of separation.

We somehow managed to take no pictures on Sunday.  We must have been having way too much fun at the Meyer's.  Monday we headed east to campaign for our favorite politician even though none of us can vote for him.

Tessa was super excited to be there.

Oliver took up his usual spot in the side yard "landscaping".

Before our second parade of the day and after a good down pour Aunt Madalyn styled C's hair.  Jimmy Neutron?

The big kids made this sign for the wagon and avoided walking most of the parade route.

Tuesday was Junior Fair Day and no one had to work so we headed over early for breakfast and to beat the rush.  We were some of the first ones there aside from everyone who camps.

Most of the booths were not open at 9 am, but you can't close down the tractors.

We managed to squeeze Natalie into a tractor tire this year.  Not sure how this will work out in the future.

Tessa still fits just right.

Even C took her turn with Mom close by nervously eyeing her every move.

And then they all squeezed in for this goofy shot.

Oliver chose a green one for his pic.  He fits just right this year.

Swine flu only kept us out of one barn.  We took the extra time to stop and play in the corn.

And pose for cute cattle-related pictures.

Tallers and Turners you really missed a good time this year.  The milk shakes were creamy and delicious.  The donuts were a great start to our day.  Of course there were spiral taters.  And as if that were not enough Pettisville Meats had their trailer there grilling up Hawaiian brats and BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw on top. You really missed out.  Maybe next year.
