The construction on our street has left our landscaping a little distressed. With this has come a pile of bricks that once outlined our "mound" in the side yard. The kids took it upon themselves the other day to construct a house out of these bricks and some stakes the construction crew left behind.
This paricular house has a window. This was soon replaced to make room for a fireplace. The outside of the house soon grew a patio complete with a fire pit and picnic area.
Happy to be hanging out near the action.
Dad wants to know if this is what 1880's playpens looked like.
Monday was also the back to school open house. Cecelia tried on a back pack before bed.
Keeping an eye on the neighborhood construction.
Thumbs up! New sidewalks!
Natalie's first day of second grade was today. She's a little concerned about being involved in the Christmas musical that all of the second graders particpate in, but overall she is excited for the new year.
Walking to school.
Oliver starts kindergarten tomorrow. Tonight he went to bed without argument. I guess the backhoe is there for emergent midnight construction projects.
