We recently embarked on a short, low-budget vacation. Mom had five days off of work so we loaded up the van and headed south, but first Mom and Dad headed eat to Cleveland...without kids. Grandpa scored some Indians tickets and offered to share. So Mom got up at 4:20 to get to work early to be home in time to make it for a 7:05 first pitch.
This is the view from our seats. Mom was happy cause ther were no seats directly in front of her and she felt like she could put her feet up on the railing without disturbing anyone.
Mom and Dad split a giant sausage sandwich with pulled pork and cole slaw on top. It was delicious, but they missed the most exciting inning of the game to go get it.
Aunt Madayln was Grandpa's "date". She got up to get her picture taken with Slider.
Mom and Dad got home sometime shortly after two, which made a long day for Mom, then got up at 6:30 to get ready for Carp Fest and the first official day of vacation.
The festivities kicked off with a kids fun run. Natalie, Oliver, and Tessa all participated.

While everyone else got their run in I enjoyed a nice ride in the sling.
Natalie tried her hand at the tractor pulls. She must have been a little tired from her run, but she had fun. Oliver missed out on the actual pull, he was at the reservoir fishing, but he did get to drive a tractor over to the truck to be hauled away.
There was also some face painting, crafts, and inflatables.
The entire downtown was blocked off from traffic and Dad's bike booth was right near the kids play area so we really enjoyed ourselves without having to worry too much about anyone getting lost.
